Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance
We are committed to providing high quality and impartial careers information, advice and guidance. Through local colleges, we pay for the services of two independent careers advisers who work with our children from Years 7 to 11, using a bespoke service called Caeers Menu. There is a full careers programme taught and a dedicated member of staff has responsibility for overseeing the programme. Bill Valentine and Lindsay Hansford are our two independent careers advisers and they are in school on a Wednesday. You can make an appointment to see them up to 5pm and they are always available at parents' evenings. Representatives from local places of work, colleges and apprenticeship providers come into our Year 11 Common Room each lunchtime to offer help and support to our students. We also host STEM careers events as part of the Engineering specialism programme to give students a taste of the types of careers available to them in these fields of work.
