Pastoral Support

Our five year groups are also organised in Houses which are named after Engineers. Children are cared for in year group forms and meet with their form tutor every day. Form tutors help ensure they are well prepared, well supported and they carefully guide children so they have outstanding personal development. Children become mentors and buddies for each other, engendering a sense of belonging and breaking down barriers between children in different year groups. There is a strong sense of community, responsibility and respect for one another. Children are encouraged to develop leadership skills and are confident in expressing themselves.Whilst we expect all our students to perform at the highest standards academically we also see our responsibility as the ‘Development of the whole child.’

Overall resposibility for pastoral support is with Mrs R Downing (Deputy Headteacher): rThis email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Partnerships with Parents

We place great value on parental partnerships. It is through working together that our children will receive the best education and preparation for the future. Parents can expect excellent information, advice and guidance, through progress and written reports, parents’ evenings and information evenings. Parents are always welcome to contact school for an appointment with learning mangers, form tutors and teaching staff. A member of the senior leadership team is always available during the day for any urgent issues or to discuss any concerns.
